Mailbox Care
Regular maintenance of your mailbox will keep it looking great for years to come. To care for your mailbox, we recommend a periodic wipe down with a microfiber cloth and mild soap and water mixture and to keep it free from any harsh chemicals or salt buildup. Please note that if you have sprinklers near your mailbox, we recommend they be re-positioned to not spray the mailbox or post. For added benefit you can reference our guide below for your specific finishes.
Powder Coated Surfaces
- Wipe down surfaces using a microfiber cleaning cloth and multi-surface cleaning solution. Do not use harsh or abrasive chemicals or rags.
Stainless Steel Surfaces
- Apply a small amount of stainless steel cleaner/polish to a microfiber cleaning cloth and polish surfaces as needed. Failure to keep this finish clean and polished can allow surface rust to develop.
Metalgrain Surfaces (Discontinued Finish)
- Using a microfiber cleaning cloth apply a small amount of UV Protectant solution to Metalgrain surfaces every few months or as needed to keep the finish from fading.
Wood Surfaces (Discontinued Finish)
- Lightly sand using a medium grit foam sanding block. Be sure to wipe off any sawdust from surface and then apply a small amount of wood refinishing oil to surface using a stain application pad.
