Lighting up the mailbox address was a huge hit with the neighbors and our kids. I’m a contractor and after I installed his I wasn’t sure if I like it or not to be truthful. Was it trying to hard was my first thought? Figured I can easily disconnect if feedback was negative. I started asking the kids and they all loved it and all their friends too. Neighbors walking their dog at night commented how nice it looks and then on Halloween a lot of positive comments as well. Overall my hesitation was incorrect as this has been very well received. The mailbox is well made, sturdy and, and thoughtfully engineered. It was a substantial upgrade over our previous mailbox. What could be improved: - the black easily attracts fingerprints and scratches (and I have been super careful in installation!) - the LED light instructions don't mention it, but you have to use correct polarity and this took me far to long to figure out - the door could use a little rubber bumper to avoid slamming against the metal stop tab - we'll see, but I am concerned the way the mail flag is designed will one day result in someone snagging on it and breaking it off.

I'm very happy with my purchase. This is a very good quality and durable mailbox, while also very aesthetically pleasing. I opted to get the LED backlight accessory and highly recommend (which came pre-installed). It looks great at night.
